Pricing & Cost
Every home is different, so there is no single answer. But I will give you real numbers. Most residential systems fall between $500 and $2,500 for equipment and installation. Monthly monitoring ranges from about $30 to $50. The exact number depends on the size of your home, the number of entry points, whether you want cameras, and how much automation you are looking for.
Here is what I can promise: the price I quote you is the price you pay. No hidden fees. No surprise charges on installation day. And with our lifetime price-lock, your monthly rate never increases.
Yes -- the equipment and installation are typically paid upfront or we can discuss financing options. Monthly monitoring is a separate ongoing cost. I will lay out every dollar during your consultation so there are no surprises. The important thing: there are no hidden activation fees, no "system startup" charges, and no fine-print costs that appear later.
In most cases, yes. Most Central Florida homeowners see their insurance premiums drop 5-15% when they install a professionally monitored security system. We provide the documentation you need to submit to your insurance company. That savings alone often covers a significant portion of your monthly monitoring cost.
Here is the honest answer: our upfront cost may be similar or slightly higher than some national chains. But over time, we are almost always less expensive -- and significantly less expensive if you factor in contract penalties, rate increases, and service call fees.
ADT and Vivint raise rates after year one. Their "introductory" pricing is designed to hook you. We charge a fair price from day one and never increase it. Over a 3-5 year period, ALS customers consistently pay less total than customers of national chains. And our customers own their equipment, are never locked into a contract, and get a warranty that covers parts and labor.
Installation & Process
Most residential installations are completed in one day -- typically 4 to 8 hours depending on the complexity of your system. You do not need to take a week off work. We schedule around your life. Your system is fully tested and monitored by the time we leave.
We drill small, neat holes for sensors and mounts -- similar to hanging a picture frame. If you ever want the system removed, we patch every hole and return your walls to their original condition. That is part of our money-back guarantee.
In most cases, we can schedule installation within a week of your consultation. For urgent situations -- like a neighborhood break-in -- we prioritize fast turnaround and can often install within days.
Yes, someone should be home during installation. Our team will walk you through the entire system before they leave -- showing you how to arm, disarm, control cameras, and use the app. We do not leave until you feel completely confident.
Monitoring & Technology
Your alarm triggers. The monitoring center is immediately notified. They attempt to contact you within seconds to verify whether it is a real emergency or a false alarm. If they cannot reach you or you confirm an emergency, they dispatch local law enforcement immediately. You receive real-time notifications on your phone throughout the process. This happens 24/7/365.
Yes. One app controls everything -- arm, disarm, view cameras, lock doors, adjust thermostat, control lights, receive alerts. You can manage your entire system from anywhere with an internet connection.
Absolutely. Indoor cameras, outdoor cameras, doorbell cameras -- whatever your home needs. All integrated into the same app as your alarm system. Unlike a standalone Ring doorbell, our cameras are connected to 24/7 monitoring. They do not just record -- they trigger a professional response.
Contracts & Guarantees
No. Never. Month-to-month service. Cancel anytime. No penalties. No fees. No questions asked. We earn your business every month.
Everything. If you are not satisfied with your system for any reason, we come back, remove every piece of equipment, patch every hole, and refund 100% of your money. There is no time limit designed to make the guarantee meaningless. No restocking fee. No fine print.
You own it. It is yours. Most national chains lease equipment -- which means if you cancel, they take it back. With ALS, you own everything we install.
A couple of options. You can transfer the monitoring service to the new owner -- which is a nice selling point for your home. Or you can cancel the monitoring (no penalties, remember) and let the new owner decide what they want to do. Either way, the equipment stays with the house or comes with you. Your call.
Smart Home & Integration
In most cases, yes. We work with Ring, Nest, Hue, Yale, Ecobee, and most major smart home brands. During the assessment, Arthur catalogs every device in your home and gives you an honest answer about what integrates, what needs replacing, and why. In most homes, we preserve 60-80% of existing devices.
We can usually replace it without major disruption. In many cases, we can reuse existing wiring and sensor locations, which reduces installation time and cost. Arthur will evaluate your current system during the consultation and let you know exactly what can be reused and what needs updating.
